As a participate in the Worldwide PHILLIPS Surname DNA project, the results have lead me, and eight other guys to Chatham County, NC. My furtherest documented ancestor was b. 1786 in Lancaster County, SC. But the DNA opened new areas for research by linking myself to the other guys who have taken the bold step and participated in the DNA program. Many of the guys have established ancestors in Chatham / Randolph County through the US Census, centering around 1780-1810. Many may still have folks living there.

The following names list active participates in the Revolutionary War.
- Zachariah Phillips, Pvt
- Bush Phillips, Pvt
- Andrew Phillips, Pvt, given 360 acres, 48 months service
- Loven Phillips, Pvt
- Abraham Phillips
- John Phillips, Pvt
- Rush Phillips

Looking for descendants, and researchers who can help "put more flesh" on the family trees that are known. If you can help expand the knowledge of the PHILLIPS line in Chatham and Randolph County, NC, please respond.
