I was not looking for photos of David & Sarah Kaylor I replied to Joe Heritage that I have a photo of them. They were my great grandparents. My grandmother was Hester Kaylor Lafone their daughter. My Mom was Hester's daughter, Edith Lafone Eckard. I don't think my mother knew much about her great-grandfather Samuel Patton. I do know that she said that he died at a young age and her grandmother did remarry. She remembered hearing that her grandmother (Sarah) had 50 acres of land in what is now Caldwell Co (somewhere around the Patterson School) that she sold for 50 cents an acre. So I assume Samuel Patton
was from that area instead of Catawba Co, but don't know that for a fact. I have always wondered if this is where Samuel Patton lived maybe the name of the area Patterson came from the Patton family.
