I have looked at my records on the Evans family. There were members of the family in Caswell County around the time you mentioned. However, I cannot find any Thomas Evans who would matched your dates. If you can find a book titled "The Complete Ancestry of Tennessee Williams", Chapter Six is about the Evans family and some of these members moved from Amelia and Lunenburg Counties in Virginia to Caswell County, NC. I think that they settled in the Yancyville area. They are my relatives. Ellis Evans is one of them who lived in Caswell County. However, his son named Thomas was born around 1787.
