Adams and Reed or Reid before 1790

I'm trying to find out what Adams and Reed or Reid families were in Caswell Co. prior to the 1790 Census, by which time the ones I'm particularly interested had gone to Pendleton District, SC. I understand that some such households were in the St. David's District per Tax records, but I'd like particular names, and added details would be great. The early Caswell Tax records don't seem to be on the Internet yet. Would someone please do some look-ups for me? I'd be quite grateful, as I'm a long way from NC.

I'm also unsure where St. David's District was. Was that in the SW corner of the county, just north of the portion of Orange Co. that became Alamance Co.?

Thanks for any help.
