Trisha, just came across another of your postings which made me realize that your Nancy Reid was the dau. of Nathaniel Reid and his wife Elizabeth who lived on Stoney Creek in Caswell Co. About 1790 Nathaniel moved to Pendleton Dist., SC where he d. 1799 leaving a will which mentions his entire family. You may already be aware of this information; if so, have you been able to determine the origins of Nathaniel? I too have a Nathaniel Reed, b. ca. 1720 who was in Orange Co., NC by 1752, then in the Greenville Co., SC area from about 1785 until ca. 1790 when he prob. d. as he disappears from records at that time. Some of us have long thought that there might be a connection between the two families. Can we help each other?
