I noticed your mention of the POWELL surname in your posting. I am researching info on my great great great great grandfather, Peter Powell, Sr. and his wife Martha (Patcey) Carrol or Carroll. They were married on August 31, 1802 in Caswell County NC and lived in Caswell County until they and several of their sons moved to Macon County, Missouri in 1838. Peter Powell, Sr. died at Macon County, MO on July 14, 1849 and is buried at the Kitchen Family Cemetery located at College Mound, Macon County, MO. His wife Martha (Patcey) Carrol or Carroll is also buried there, and she died on December 2, 1842.

I descend through their son Peter Powell, Jr. and his wife Francis Phillips or Philips.

If you think my POWELL line ties into your, I would love to hear from you.
