SIMEON FORD - Revoluntionary Soldier?

I'm looking for proof that Simeon Ford 1742-1833 may have been a revolutionary war soldier. Supposedly there is a file regarding a land grant upon his getting out of the military, but only has it in a funky format I can't read. Can anyone help?
