Thanks for the response.

I just scanned the list of Most Distant Ancestors in the Reed Project, and none look to be in my line.

I'm the admin of three surname projects myself, and would LOVE to find a donor from my Reed line, but haven't been able to find one to date. I'm in touch with several other researchers and descendants, but we're all women and pretty far removed from the Reed surname. None of us know any Reed men still carrying the name. I keep hoping, though, because this is a perfect instance where DNA could provide the breakthrough we need.

Maybe it's time to send out another DNA donor needed request to the Reed and Giles Co. list.
