Hi Jane,
My Reed family is part of the Reed families that were in Jackson and Cobb Counties, Ga in the late 1700s and early 1800s. My Joseph Reed (born about 1785-90) family was in Giles Co. on the 1820 Census.
Several male Reeds of different family lines have had DNA testing done that have confirmed them to be related to that group in Georgia.
Do you belong to any of DNA testers families?
