Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My Cordelia G. Bell, who married John Wesley Evans, my gggrandfather, was born in NC and he was, too. They then migrated and married in Lowndes Co., MS, had children in several MS counties, and finally ended up as did part of her Bell family, in TX. They died and were buried in Ennis, Ellis Co., TX. I found that some of my other ancestors also followed this NC to MS to TX pattern. I don't know if that's where the new land was, or the new states. Hope this might help.
