In Reply to: Micajah Frazier, Tax Records, Carteret C by Dennis Frasher of 291

Dennis - "One Dozen Pre-Revolutionary War Families" by P. W. Fisher states that Micajah Frazer "made a will on July 25, 1792....the will was brought into the Jones County (NC) court and proved as his last will and test. at Aug 1792 term. His wife was Mary Watson Simmons. He had also been married before. He was son-in-law to my 5th great grandfather and was mentioned in his will. If the lady you mention (Hamilton) is for sure, then the Micajah in this neck of the woods is not the one you are looking for. Hamilton was not a local name at that time.
