Henderson Pinkney White b.abt. 1826 d. 1862 of the fever while serving the Confederacy. He enlisted in Co H 38th Regiment NC Troops in March 1862. He lies in an unmarked grave in an old cemetery situated on the banks of Lake Hickory in Caldwell Co. NC. He married abt. 1850 Fannie Cline White b. July 6, 1824 d. Nov. 1, 1914. aged 90 y 3 mo. 25 d. D/O John Cline b. NC and Betsy Huffman b. NC Fannie is buried at Houck's Chapel which is now Fairview Cemetery in City of Hickory, NC
Issue of: Katherine, William Pinkney, Andrew Gamewell, Philip David, Lidia Elizabeth, George Washington. George Washington White was my ggrandfather b. 6-10-1859 d. 6-28-1947 88 yrs. old. m. Ada Hilderbran White buried at Houck's Chapel now Fairview Cemetery. My ggrandfather was only 3 yrs. old when his father died serving the confederacy.
