I know this is an old post, but this is the first time I have been on in quite some time. If you haven't found your Starkey's, go to Elizabeth Citty & York Co. VA. The Starkey, Mitchell, Middleton and other families came from these counties ca. 1727 to Onslow co, NC. You will find them all in Elizabeth Citty Co at the same time. I hope you will have better luck than I have of getting them out of VA.
