Palatine Ancestors!

If you have ancestors you cannot find, may I suggest that you locate the following three-book series in a regional library, "(New York) Even More Palatine Families: 18th Century Immigrants to the American Colonies and their German, Swiss, and Austrian Origins," by Henry Z. Jones, FASG, and Lewis Bunker Rohrbach. Volume II concentrates specifically on those emigrants who came to pre-New Bern and settled in this region ca 1709. I lucked out and found two ancestral lines; another cousin has found four of her lines at last count. If you are interested in adding this 3-volume series to your personal collection, Picton Press at http://www.pictonpress.com can help you. The set is $195 but depending on the depth of your research it may well be worth the cost for your reference library. These books are in the New Bern library as well as ECU's NC Reference Room. They are probably also at other regional libraries.
'just had to share this news with fellow researchers with early ancestors in this region.
