I am looking for John Thomas Cartwright who married Ida Spence Craven in 1900. They had children Nellie, Joseph 'Joe', Sarah, Bertha, and James. This couple started in Pasquotank county then Camden and ended up in St. Brides, Virginia. My grandfather said that Uncle Joe took him hunting in South Mills on the east side of the canal and they ran into the family cemetery in the woods. My grandfather said Uncle Joe said he had wondered where this was. We have been trying to locate this cemetery. Joe and James stayed a lot with a lady they called a foster mother by the name of Lula Ballance. She was 80 yrs old in 1955. Any information on this cemetery or the family would be appreicated.
