Wow...had no idea Theophilus had more than one family, nor that some of the fam had gone to Mississippi. The pics I have are of Theophilus and his dad. I believe Theophilus was a Presbyterian minister, and my Grandma says he was the principal of a school in the area for children of color.

I heard that the major families down there in the Lenoir area are pretty interconnected (Dula, Phillips, Michaux).

Found this on FamilySearch tonite...not a lot of info here, but it is a minimal record of Theo and Bessie's marriage.

I'll send the pics as soon as they're scanned.
