Hi Laurie,

I have a lot of information regarding the Summerlin/Sumlin family of Caldwell County, NC. My Grandfather was Rufus Edgar Sumlin who was the brother of Collis and the son of David & Mary. I have a litlle bit of information on Mary Gilbert. Her father Joshua Gilbert married Susan Rutherford. Joshua died in the Civil War.
