As I remember the grocery store it was at the intersection of NC 268 and Elk Creek Road, across the road from
the antebellum Cornelius Howard homeplace. Thius is the community of Elkville, a little further west from Ferguson
I believe. There may be 2 Dula cemeteries. I think the one I am talking about may be called the Dula-Horton cemetery, and is where old William Dula and his wife Theodocia are buried. The Wilkes county library has a book of those cemeteries and others, with directions.
