JAMES BRADSHAW
Posted by: Evedene Bennett (ID *****1569) Date: February 24, 2012 at 10:34:01

My James Bradshaw 1769 started getting land East side of Rocky River. He was assessor during part of the Revolution. then when Cabarrus Co. was formed was one of the two first Representatives to the NC House of Commons, then Senator there .
His will is lost,(died Feb 19, 1809) so it is difficult finding certainty about which of the Bradshaws there are his children. James md Martha Watson (DAR has) & my ancestor was his son James Watson Bradshaw who went to Green Stocking Hollow in Bedford Co, TN probably just after War of 1812.
An 1886 letter of elderly cousin Rev. T.R. Bradshaw says daughters of James md White, Weddington & Morrison. Besides my own Morrison tie, JW's sister Jane Bradshaw md John Morrison. I have the White & Weddington lines, also.
Anyone working on these children of James? Also his father is probably Christopher Bradshaw.
