I Found Rueben Parrott on page 423 of my copy of " Roster of Soldiers from North Carolina in the American Revolution"
He is listed in a U. S. War Department report on Pensions. dated 1835. He is shown as having served as a Private in the North Carolina Militia, he was then 72 years of age. I did not find him listed in the D. A. R.
Centennial edition of the Patriot Index. This might only mean no one had applied for membership using him as a qualifying ancestor.
