Most old wills are at the NC State Archives. There is an online index to the wills that they have on file.
Some wills may be at the Register of Deeds office of the County where they were probated, however, most were transferred to the Archives years ago.
You can also find books with abstracts of old wills at the Cabarrus Co. and Rowan Co. Library Genealogy rooms.
