My research indicates that Margaret White was the widow of Moses White the nephew of Isabella White who married Joseph Rogers. The Whites of Rowan/Cabarrus co. NC were descendants of Moses White and Isabella Cochran White of Lancaster Co. PA.

Jan. 1775 Joseph Rodgers...Margaret White decd., 6 July 1773. Margaret White was sole executrix of estate of husband Moses White whose will is dated 10 Nov. 1766...lands granted to White by Gov. Arthur Dobbs 24 June 1762. From "Genealogical Deed Abstracts Mecklenburg Co. NC, Books 10-14" by Herman W. Ferguson. Joseph Rogers was married to Isabella White, aunt of this Moses White.
"Families of Cabarrus County, North Carolina, 1792-1815", page 167 contains information about Moses White and Margaret Givens. David Russell and Joseph Rogers inherited 144 acres from the will of Margaret White dated 1773. They sold the land to Michael Shaver in 1775.
