I have family info on the Black line (my wife's family) back to James Black who died 1n 1818, and also the Barrier line back several generations. I don't have many marriage dates, but my info states that Lewis Edward Black was the son of Joseph Sedlee Black and his second wife, Elizabeth Turner. Elizabeth Turner was the widow of Levi Carriker (died in CW)and the mother of Francis Elizabeth Carriker who married William Barringer Black (my wife's great-grandparents). W. B. Black was a 2nd cousin of Lewis Black.
Elizabeth Turner was the daughter of Seneca Turner who has lines traced to the Mayflower.
Email me directly at and I will gladly share my info.
Ben Callahan
