I have info on the Moyers that might be of help. John Adam Moyer (1726-1799) married Anna Catherine Scheider in 1748. I have only one child, John Mathias Moyer who married Mary Boon. Their daughter, Anna Catherine, married
John Paul Barringer,II in Cabarrus Co. in 1800.
Michael Moyer, supposedly a brother of John Adam Moyer, married Elizabeth Abel, and their daughter, Mary, married John Nicholas Isenhour. (Her name is sometimes listed as Mary Myers) Mary and Nicholas were given a large amount of land on Little Buffalo Creek in Cabarrus Co. NC and when Nicholas abandonded Mary, he tried to take the land, but Mary went to the NC Legislature in 1805 and got a divorce. She never remarried and raised her family on the land. She is buried at the Isenhour Cemetery on Old Mine Road near Gold Hill, NC. There are many, many descendants of this family in the area.
