Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

My uncle, Coleman Wallace had a gold mine on his farm in Cabarrus County. When I was a boy, my cousin, Wesley Abernethy and I use to play at the gold mine. Wesley still lives in Caarrus County and would know the details of the location.I have several photos of the old homestead. Bruce Abernethy, bca@kcs-sys.com
