Thank you for your reply! My interest was primarily in Myron's wife. I now have a considerable amount of information about Myron and his parents. I enclose it on the possibility that it might be of value to you.

In Reply to: SHINN, Myron Lee WW2 DOW 6-15-1944 by Donald THAYER of 569
According to "A History of Cabarrus County in the Wars," Myron Lee SHINN was a S/Sgt. with the 82nd Airborne. He entered the service in Mar 1942 and served in North Africa, Sicily, and Italy, before being kia in France on 15 Jun 1944. He received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was the husband of Helen THAYER.
My research shows that Myron Lee SHINN born cir 1909, was the son of John Calvin SHINN (b. 19 Feb 1863, d. 2 Oct 1947) and Laura Lavina Barringer(b. 24 Sep 1873, TX, d. 28 Sep 1968, Cabarrus Co. NC.) Married 19 Jan 1890. Laura L. Barringer was the daughter of Jeremiah Barringer and Julia Carolina Barrier.
