I am seaching for the parents of Charles James SHOAF born: 18 Dec 1872 died 1 aug 1945
Charles was in the Spanish American War
He was adopted by the BURKE family( daughter named Sally BURKE) when he was a young child.He had a sister named Jennie that married John BOATENHAMMER(?) family.Could be (BOTENHAMMER)Lewis,Henry,Rosa were Jennie and John's children.
I am also searching for his wife's parents

Her siblings were: Mern,Shorty,Wash,Margaret GANT,Kate HELTON,& Lintz DRY. They all lived in and around this county.
