Hello Hettie,
I am pretty new to Genealogy research. "Pages in History" by Vondalee S.Page, published by Dorvon Enterpises in Lake Lucille, P.O. Box 870202, Wasilla,Alaska 99687 was helpful in starting this branch of my husband's tree. He is decended from Frederic's son William "Barney" Page & Martha Cabe also, but via Rosa Lee Page. I have found a few mistakes in the book, but surprisingly accurate documentation of Fredric Page's decendents when you consider the lack of technology in 1983 when the book published. Now I am too am searching for Frederic's ancestors & scratching my head; so I checked out the message forum and there you were.
Right now I am checking out other names that may have parents to go with them from Fredric's generation, having found an article about a Reuben Page, "a native of Vermont who served in the war of 1812 and died abt.1845 at age 80 on the homestead where he was born and reared." What caught my eye was that "his father was one of four brothers who came from Scotland at an early day, two settling in the south, one in N.H. and one in VT." Could our Frederic be decended from one of the southerners? Please, let me know if you find his parents. Good Luck!
