Seeking info. On ggg-grandfather, Daniel Cook (b. 1791, d. 1853) presumably of Rowan & Cabarrus/Mecklenburg Counties, NC. (Cabarrus split off from Mecklenburg in 1792.) Married 1st, Martha Brumley (d. 1827); 2nd, Jemima Kennerly (b. 10-1806, d. 07-31-1882) and had 17 children with both (4 of whom seem to have died in infancy).

Daniel and Jemima and some children from both marriages migrated to Union County, IL, in 1848. Some of Danielís children were baptized in Grace Lower Stone Church in Rockwell, Rowan County, NC.

Am descended from, Joseph Cook (b. 18-21-1819, d. 02-21-1871), son of Daniel and Martha, who stayed behind in NC, lived and died in area that is now Mt. Mitchell-New Gilead area of Cabarrus County, NC, along Old Salisbury-Concord Rd. (Not far from Either Concord or Kannapolis, NC.) The family surname may have been Koch at some point.

Any information that can shed light on life of Daniel, his parents, brothers and sisters: names, dates, origins, etc. will be much appreciated.
