I am still trying to trace the ancestry of Hiram Carrigan of Tn. Supposedly he moved from Cabarrus Co to Madison Co, Al sometime around 1820 more or less. He ultimately married Elmina M.B. Randolph in Madison Co, Al but settled then in Lincoln Co Tn for the remainder of his life. His first name may have been James or William (records conflict). The book Tn Cousins by Ray says the Carrigans were from Cabarrus Co. NC. I have my lineage since then but am anxious to go back further. On the Census records, he says his parents were b in Ireland but he was born in NC. Thanks for any help whatsoever.
