I am compiling a unit history and roster of the 4th NC Cavalry (59th Regiment NCST). I would be interested in including any genealogical and biographical data that any descendants of 4th NC Cavalry could provide. Company E of this regiment was formed in Mecklenburg County, with recruits coming from Mecklenburg, Cabarrus and Rowan counties. I am particularly interested in dates of birth, marriage and death, as well as what became of them after the war (i.e. where they lived and what they did). I would also like to include photos of these veterans if available. Thanks for your help.
