George Fogleman Ancestors in Cabarrus co
Posted by: Glen Date: April 16, 2001 at 14:20:43
  of 981

Searching for an un-rooted ancestor - George Fogleman, b. abt 1775, was in VA 1795, and in MS 1797, in LA by 1820 (probably by 1812 - fought in War of 1812 in a LA regiment.)
Family names seem to support connection to Johan Melchior Fogleman, JR (b. 1741).
This George is of an age to be a son of Melchior and a brother of Christian Fogleman.
Can anyone help me get this Fogleman attached to his parents. In Baptismal Certificates for for 2 of George's sons, the paternal grandparents are shown as "Maycle" Fogleman and Maria Margaretha Nees.
"Maycle" might be Michael - or it might be Melchior.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
