Coddle(Caudle) Creek Area?

Where is the general area of Coddle or Caudle Creek (a branch of Rocky River)? My GGGGrandfather David Wilson and wife, Jane, sold land in this area during 1763-1779 era. It was Mecklenburg Co. at the time, I think, but is now Cabarrus Co. I am planning a trip back that way next month and would like to locate general area, at least. Also, interested in location of Rocky River Presbyterian Church & Cemetery.
