1800-1810 Cabarrus Census ALEXANDER/POLK

Alexander/Polk

Benjamin and Susanna Polk Alexander, parents of Capt.Wm. "Black Billy"
Alexander, were longtime residents of Mecklenburg Co. In 1792,
Cabarrus County was formed from Mecklenburg County and this Alexander
family lived in or near the Mallard Creek District, in a section that
was annexed to Cabarrus. I lose Benjamin in the tax lists of the last
part of the 1700's and the 1800's, but two Ben <NOSCRIPT> <A HREF="http://ads.admonitor.net/clicktrack.cgi?F1415|1001|1|image2|C|||" TARGET=_top> <IMG SRC="http://ads.admonitor.net/adengine.cgi?F1415|1001|1|image2|C|||" BORDER=0 WIDTH=468 HEIGHT=60></A> </NOSCRIPT> </IFRAME> jamins appear in the 1800
and 1810 Cabarrus Co. published census records. Only one shows up on the 1820
Census. It is entirely possible that these are Benjamin and his
youngest son, Ben, and that the father died between 1810 and 1820. .
In the census of 1850, Benjamin is listed as 65 years old. I r <NOSCRIPT> <A HREF="http://ads.admonitor.net/clicktrack.cgi?F1415|1001|1|image2|C|||" TARGET=_top> <IMG SRC="http://ads.admonitor.net/adengine.cgi?F1415|1001|1|image2|C|||" BORDER=0 WIDTH=468 HEIGHT=60></A> </NOSCRIPT> </IFRAME> ecall
that I heard that Susanna died in Cabarrus Co. sometime around 1812 but
do not have the citation. Does anyone have access to a copy of the
original (handwritten) census records of Cabarrus Co. for 1800 and 1810 which would
show the ages of these two Ben's? Also perhaps the number of people in
these families? Any information supplied would be greatly appreciated.
