I am searching for information on the CLARK
family ANCESTORS of WM. AND MARY CLARK of
Mecklenburg Co., NC, who were parents of my
greatgrandmother MARGARET CLARK who married
WM. 'BLACK BILLY' ALEXANDER, who was first of
Mecklenburg Co., and then moved with the CLARKS to Mallard Crk in Cabarrus Co., NC.
Joseph CLARK, 1 of 13 children of above CLARKS, m. Ruth Alexander, d/o Wm. and Rebecca Alexander of Mecklenburg Co., NC.,
in April 1789. They had 9 children: Mary,
Rebecca T., Wm. A., Susannah (m. Edwin, s/o
Maj. Thomas and Jane (Morrison) Alexander),
Margaret, James A., Josiah, Elijah C., and Joseph H.; all CLARKS.
They moved to different places like Giles Co
TN, where father Joseph died; James A.(or G?)
to Davis Co., IOWA; James A.'s son Elijah Lee
to Kansas City, KS; Elijah's son Marion to
Benton, Arkansas; Marions dau. Laura Belle
m. Seitz and to Neosho, Mo.
Needless to say, I would also like any more
information re DESCENDANTS of the children
