Here is the information I have on this family line. I am relatively sure one of these mean is the father of my John Ballew, proving it of course is a whole different story. The men listed below were in Burke County at the right time and of the right age.

Sons of Joseph5, descendent of Leonard1 are:

Joseph6 Ballew, son of Joseph5 [Joseph4, Leonard3, Leonard2, Leonard1

Leonard6 Ballew son of Joseph5, Joseph4, Leonard3, Leonard2, Leonard1

Sons of Robert4 are:

David5 son of Robert4 Leonard3, Leonard2, Leonard1

Robert5 son of Robert4 Leonard3, Leonard2, Leonard

Stephen5 son of Robert4 Leonard3, Leonard2, Leonard1

This information is from a new book published by James Hamlin on Ballew Genealogy. It is a gold mine. I have his contact info if you would like to purchase it I can forward you that information.

Thomas5 son of Robert4 Leonard3, Leonard2, Leonard1
