Hi, Monika,
I have:
Stephen (b. abt. 1762) and Thomas (b. ?)are brothers, sons of Robert Ballew (b. Bef. 1744; d. Bet. November 30, 1810 - July 1811). I established their relationship through Rev. War records on Gwen Edmonds' Ballews Across America website. Also, I think Robert Ballew's will helps establish this.

The sons of Robert Ballew's brother (I haven't figured out who this is yet) are:
Richard, Peter, Joseph, David and Robert Ballew (they were born around the years of 1757-1763). I also used the Rev. War records to establish these relationships.

Thus, Stephen and Thomas are first cousins of Robert and Joseph.

Now, how does this help you with your John Ballew? Have you found his parents yet? Or are you like me, trying to make earlier connections, hoping to link in that dead end?
