Burke County Death Index lists a Lewis A. Franklin b 01/01/1915 d 10/14/1934 burial Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following information was sent to my by tensebanks@aol.com:

Lewis enlisted in CSA Co. F 25th Regiment NC Troops on September 22, 1862.
He was captured at Rappakannock Station VA November 17, 1863 and confined at Point Lookout MD. Paroled and transferred to Venus Point, Savannah GA where he was received for exchange November 15, 1864.
Lewis died a year after his release, probably related to his imprisonment on December 20, 1865.
