Searching for info on Lewis Brewer, served in Revolutionary War as a Private in 10th Regiment, Capt. Ballards company and also Capt Bynum N.C. Militia. Also any other info you may have on Lewis b4 the war. He came to America abt. 1774, 14 years, w/his mother Mary Elizabeth, sponsored by Samuel Russell of Burke Co. Lewis lived there until after the war, then moved to VA, his mother later married Samuel and stayed in NC. If anyone has info I will greatly appreciate your response. They came from Devonshire, Eng, their ship wrecked around Cape Hatterus, NC along w/32 other Brewer families.

Anne
