I am researching Moses Black Harris who married Nancy Hayes in Grainger County, TN in 1847. I know that her family came from Burke County, NC and that her mother was Nancy Gilbert, father was Colbert Hayes. The name of Gilbert appears throughout generations of Harris folks. I don't have any info about Moses prior to 1847. Perhaps we can share info that would help us both. Joyce (Harris) Pouncey
