Deeds belong to the to the County Register of Deeds office not the NC Archives. The NC Archives only has land Grants so I hope you will give that deed to the Burke County Register of Deeds office. Also if you dont mind me asking I would like to know who sold you that deed on Ebay. If this person is selling the missing deeds they should be returned to Burke county and should not be sold. There are many of us who can not trace or place our ancestors because of those missing land grants. My Ancestors lost all their land and I would really like to know why.
