I am not researching the famous mountian man, Moses Black Harris, but rather the one who lived in Grainger County, TN before moving to AK in the 1840s, then on to MO where the census records lists him as a 'doctor.' Do you have any info about Malon Harris from Grainger County TN who some surmise was the father of Moses. Thanks for your inquiry and would appreciate hearing from you further if we can be of help in my research of the Harris family in question. Thanks....jp
