Oct.13- CHARLES RENO, 29 of Canton, was killed and four other persons painfully injured late today when a bus driven by EMORY MARTIN, of Waynesville, crashed into a wagon load of telephone poles near Hominy station.
The injured are ; MISS GLADYS RENO, Whitmire, S.C., niece of the dead man, cut and severe bruises about the face.
MRS. JESS WELLS, Waynesville, bruises and cuts about head and face.
MRS. W.C. KEENER, Waynesville, bruises and severe cuts.
MANSON GRIFFIN, Hominy driver of the wagon, broken colar bone.
Reports said the wagon had become stalled by the roadside and that the bus in some manner crashed into it.
Reno died from a broken neck. One of the poles struck the right fender of the bus and struck him in the neck. His body was brought to West Asheville and Coroner JOHN L. CARROLL announced he will hold an inquest tomorrow. The injured were brought to French Broad hospital and authorities said tonight that all were resting as well as to be expected.
