Thanks for the response.I was reading Old Buncombe County Court Records, and they stated the court met at Morristown. I live in TN and there is a Morristown here.Someone has since sent me the info that Asheville was first called Morristown.What surnames are you researching? Barnettes were connected to the Beasleys that moved through E TN in the early 1800s. Thanks again for your response. Connie
