I don't have any CUNNINGHAM information, but you mentioned Marion Co., TN. My BALEW/BALLEW/BELEW/BELLEW (or whatever the spelling was) were in Marion Co., TN. There was another line in Marion Co., TN. that were BALLEW & BELLEW in the early records, but the descendants went with spelling of BARLEW.

The unfortunate things is that both fellows were deceased before the 1830 Census, and I've not been able to find out their names.

I know that my line, Mr. BALEW/BALLEW was born in NC. according to his children. He was in NC. having children, 1815 thru 1822. He was in TN. and had a child in 1825. So, he died 1825-1830. His widow, Jane Unknown, born about 1790, is found in the 1830 Census of Knox Co., TN., head of household. She remarried in 1831, and they moved to Marion Co., TN. by Oct. 1831, and they lived near the other BALLEW family that went with the BARLEW spelling. They named their children: John, Eliza, Robert Solomon and Joseph.

Mr. BALLEW/BARLEW is deceased before the 1830 Marion Co., TN. Census. His widow, Rebecca Unknown, born about 1790, is head of household in that census. I've not been able to find out Mr. BARLEW's name either. His children that I know of were: William and Sarah, and probably John and Dr. I. P. In the 1830 census, there were 2 female children, and 2 male children in the household.

Let me know if you ever discover anything that connects to these Marion Co., TN. BALLEW family lines.
