Thank you so much for the info!! I have found all of them in Marion, Ralls and Pike Counties in MO in the 1820-30's too. What is really interesting is since my post, a woman who researches the Edwards (as do I) who married into the Lake line (James B. Edwards married Mary Elizabeth Lake, daughter of Thomas & Barbara Lake) advised me to be careful, that there were actually TWO Thomas Lakes, and that he is not related to Burgess, Enoch, Ballard etc., but that he and Alonson were related & went to Texas togather. That pretty much clashes with everything that I have found. I have a copy of the marriage liscense for Thomas Lake & "Barbary" (Barbara) Whaley from Ralls County MO (1825). That is the same time frame that the other Lake's where there too. My gut tells me that I am on the right track w/Thomas being brother of your relation, but her comments still cast doubt. Have you heard of another Thomas? And thank you so very much for the info at Rootsweb!
