I am seeking information on Jesse Fields who married Catherine Aikens abt 1834 in Buncombe County, NC. Her father is said to have been John Aikens of Buncombe Co.
Jesse and Catherine Fields' first child, James, was born there in 1835. Abt 2 years later, the Jesse Fields family migrated to Union County, Ga.
Jesse Fields' ancestors are said to be of Irish ancestry. His father may have been born in VA. Jesse was born in Old Pendleton District, SC in 1812.
