SPROUSE and GARMANY/GERMANY Buncombe 1800-1830

Seeking information about two families:

SPROUSE listed on the census indexes for Buncombe Co. in 1800 p. 188, 1810 p. 79, and 1830 p. 288. In 1820 I have seen the full census, and it shows Jesse Sprouse on p. 92 with a wife, two boys, and six girls. Were all the Sprouse enumerations for this Jesse?

GARMANY listed on the Buncombe census index for 1800, p. 171. In 1810 there was a "Garmon" listed on p. 74; were these the same, and if so, what was the given name?

I'm trying to trace my George Sprouse, b. abt. 1770 VA, m. Nancy ____, and his son Louis M. Sprouse, b. abt. 1810 NC or SC. Louis' daughter married a Germany in MS, whom I'm also trying to trace without much luck, and I thought it was worth checking this one out to see if they're related.
