Cuzzie ANDERSON md. COLE Early 1800s

Cuzzie ANDERSON and John/Jack COLE are almost mythical. They were mentioned as living with the Cherokees in BUNCOMBE Co. in Anderson (s/o Cuzzie) COLE's application. As far as I know, there has not been one piece of official paper showing their existence, other than this one mention by Anderson COLE.

I don't know whether or not Cuzzie is a nickname or her legal given name. I have looked under Kesiah, Kessiah, Kesiah, kizzi, kissi, Kezziah, Kisiah, Kissiah, Cesiah, Cezziah, etc. etc. ect. There must be some kind of record somewhere!

I believe that Cuzzie ANDERSON was a full-blood Cherokee. If she married and her lands were tranferred/sold/confiscated/put in a lottery, etc. etc. etc., the LAND should tell Cuzzie and John/Jack's story.

What happened to these people?

I hope there is someone in our forum community who can provide another lead.

Happy Hunting,

RoseMary
