Searching for the roots of William H. Forester who married Lucinda Green in Polk Co. NC in 1857. He died prior to 1880, but unknown birth date. He probably remarried to Lucinda, and could have spent some time in GA. Polk Co. marriage record has him listed as William H. Foster, but his descendants list their name as Forester then Forrester. Known children include Sarah, born in 1854 (married W.P. Hill), Mitchel, born in 1857, William N. or H. born in 1859 (married Lillie?) and James Gaffney Forester b. 1864 (married Minta Shehand, aka Minnie Shehan). Possible names of children born prior to these, Manning, Tandy, and Doc.
James is my G-grandfather and he settled in the Landrum, SC area. If your tree is missing a William H. Forester, let me know.
I live in Ohio, anyone willing to look up these people for me, I can do lookups here. I live in Columbus, Ohio. I know where they are in the 1880 and 1900 censuses.
I am begging for any help!
